On bluesky, I'm known by everyone as THE account for accurate takes and unbeatable music taste, especially when it comes to idol stuff. So I had an innovative idea, and decided to do something never seen before:
An EVENT to AWARD the highlights of 2025.
Check this out, we could have different categories, which means multiple winners, that would each go home with an award recognizing something that they've made throughout the year! How dope is that?!
Unfortunately my lawyers told me that some guy named Oscar already thought of that, and has been doing this with movies since like, the 1920's or something, so, meh. I'll do it anyway.
Let's get started:
🏆ROOKIE OF THE YEAR 🏆 Might not be exactly considered a "rookie" anymore, but until another generation comes along, she and Inoue are still considered rookie to me. Yumigeta Ako aka BABY GOAT is already showing that she's ace material! Her future is bright and it brings me hope to MM's future!!!
🏆SOLO WORK OF THE YEAR 🏆 Sayashi Riho first major EP "Too Much!" 100% deserves this award! Strong setlist, strong visuals, and reponsible for showing a side of Riho that wasn't very explored in her UFP days. Special highlight for the track "Aiseyo Ima Wo", which was one of my most played in 2025!
🏆COOLEST DRIP OF THE YEAR 🏆 When it comes to sheer STYLE, no one comes close to XG nowadays. The GALA music video is a perfect example of that. Turned the met gala into an XGALA indeed! They've been unique as fuck and carrying that effortlessly since their Woke Up days, but reached a new peak here!
🏆SURPRISE OF THE YEAR 🏆 That definetly wasn't on my 2025 bingo card! Having brazilian icon Pabllo Vittar collaborating with a kpop group caught me completely off guard, and I LOVED IT! Awaseome song, with an awesome MV, and very cute BTS scenes showing Pabllo teaching portuguese to nmixx members
🏆SONG OF THE YEAR 🏆 I mean, this one was a given! "More! Mi Amore" went absolutely crazy, it was not only HUGE for Juice=Juice, but to J-Pop in general. It was THE idol song that defined 2025, and their live performances, including the one on The First Take, made big waves accross the scene!
🏆PR NIGHTMARE OF THE YEAR 🏆 Imagine heavily trash talking your bandmates and company on a private snapchat for months, and having that leaked to the public. That was not only a scandal, it lead to a hitaus, a rushed lonely graduation, and did quite the damage to the group's image and future...
🏆IDOL MOMENT OF THE YEAR 🏆 This one is for my 2nd gen kpoppies nearing their thirties! After a seven year hiatus, a lot of issues with his group and company, the undisputed king of k-pop G-DRAGON returns with his Übermensch album, new BIGBANG songs and a big display of talent showing he's still HIM

I wanted this to be done IRL, but unfortunately the pizza place I rented to host the event only do children's birthdays. It worked out fine tho, none of the artists mentioned here returned my emails anyway!
I hope you all enjoyed it the same amount as I enjoyed making this, which is a lot; I hope that this phrase made sense because I never studied proper english, I've just been rawdogging this language since 2010; and I hope that Oscar guy doesn't see this and decides to sue me, cause I spent all my money on that pizza place I was talking about earlier.
